Alright, that was super conceited of me wasn't it... Oh well, i'm
over it ;) hahaha so whats new this week that didn't happen last week,
or the week before, or the week before, or the week before, or the week
before... hahaha so i emailed ya'll thursday right??? ok, i'll start
from there sound good? GOOD.
So thursday, was just another day of class, and killer tie
trading, ya know? But i gotta say, i feel like i'm super ready for the
field!!! The espanol is coming along good, im getting more and more in
tune with the spirit every day, and i just feel closer with my savior
jesus christ every day!!! Don't worry ya'll, i'm not rogue, when i say
i'm getting I'm getting closer with christ i mean me!! I'm still the
same kid, minus the swears, and a lot more loving well, for the most
part, my companion elder marett seems to think he's a ken barbie doll
and when he wears his scarf the exact same way (a gay way) i can
litterally feel the natural man inside of me urging my hands to grab
that scarf and tighten it, until he dies... hahaha oh well, hes awesome
tho, super funny, just really asking for me to kill him when he wears a
scarf like that, but other then that i feel like i'm pretty loving.
So, after that bro. monson tangent i have lets get back on
schedule what do ya say??? Friday was really good actually, we had a
couple of killer lessons and we totally got travel plans to go to vegas
and pick up our visas, i'll tell ya'll about that ttrip lattters.. haha
what else did we do friday.. Oh yea, we played destiny ball with the
newbies, thats always exciting, although i feel like the dares are
getting more and more evil, oh well, totally over that on too, sometimes
when you stress yourself out as much as you do here nothing like a
little fun with the newbies will get you back on track!!! By the way,
our two new elders, ELder lamb (he played on the marshalls with you
brennon, redhead from af) and elder olsen are pretty tight!!! Spend a
lot of time with these litttle homies man, they way tight!!!
Saturday was awesome, end of the week, getting ready for
sunday!! I've been praying for my companion elder maluia to do better
witht the language and he's totally getting there!! Me and him gave a
killer lesson, even tho i did most of the talking we both slammed it!!!
The spirit in that room is the second strongest i've ever felt in my
life, he was crying because he's poly and thats what polys do is they
cry (lol love ya'll) and i was almost crying, but don't worry i didn't
cry cuz pimps only cry at their farewells. Elder marett still needs to
work on talking more but hey its hard to balance out teaching time with
a tri, so were getting better!! Elder maluia and i were talking to
this former mission pres from mexico east, he said don't be surprised if
were comps, since were both so huge he said the effect we could have on
a city would be huge!!! I really hope that happens, elder maluia is my
homie for real tho, and the thought of walking the streets preaching
the word with my big homie just gives me goosebumbps!!! Were the two
biggest kids on campus over here, it reminds me of high school all over
again, were seniors now in mtc time and were the big men on campus!!
ITs awesome!! Saturday night we capped off the week witha good old
fashion tie trading convention in my apt.... Lets just say that if i
can ever learn to preach the gospel like i can trade ties i think that
imma have a real good mission!!! SWEEEEEEET WILLLLL
Sunday funday, thats what i like to call it, its totally
oppisite then the field but we don't have anything to do on sundays here
in spirit prison so i had a dope convo with bro monson and got my mind
blown, like always and then the zone and i just had a kick back in our
apt, sunday night we sent off another district, sad as always but lucky
me every sad good bye here is accompanied with a visit from president
monson and an incredible blessing over the district leaving!!! Lowkey i
love thAt guy!!! Imma miss some of those elders tho, but they'll do
great!!! Lemme tell ya'll about elder zuniga i love that kid so much,
p;robably cuz he reminds me of my little brother!!! Elder zuniga is
from queens new york, he's 5'6'' and weighs about 125 pounds, he also
happens to be the shyest kid in the world, but lemme tell ya, once you
get this kid to open up to you he becomes probably the funniest kid
ever, his impersonations are so on point i fricking love it!!! I gave
him my colorado snapback which was the only one i brought, so if anyone
wants to hook a elda up with a dope snapback that would totally be
appreciated... cough cough COLTON. Sunday night after bro monson left
we partied too hard with our leaving district, also with our neighbors
headed to tampico!!! I didn't know those guys as well, but i loved em
to death and we had a ton of fun together, we stole keys to eachothers
bathrooms so we were always pranking eachother by stealing food and
leaving "gifts" in eachothers toilets... hahaha can't stop laughing just
thinking about those homies!!! I think we partied too hard cuz monday i
woke up and was sick as a doooog.
Moral of the story, get your sleep kids, cuz if you don't your
gonna get sick ight? haha since we were traveling to vegas i had to
get better fast so we did a lot of preying, took a lot of medicine, and
caught up on our sleep, it sucked that i was sick, vbut i felt well
enough monday night to confirm our flight to las vegas in the morning,
oh ya and i also picked up a sexy new paisley tie, that'll always make a
homie feel better!!!
so tuesday we woke up at 3 in the AM and headed out to the
aiport, we were with all the elders leaving the mtc and i got so pumped
for them but it sucked because i knew that even though i was escaping
here it was only just temporary and eventually i'd get deported back
here!!! hahaha don't get me wrong, i love this place, just ready to get
out and serve ya know?? At the aiport i ran into coach vakapuna, that
definintely was awesome, also got to get some cafe rio, which tastes
about
1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000x
better when youve been eating cafeteria food for 5 weeks straight!!!
The plan ride was uncomfortable, the seats aren't that great, and lemme
tell ya it gets even worse when your sitting next to your samoan
companion thats just about as big as you!!! Oh well, i had some good
conversations and we were showed a ton of love! Vegas was boringwe sat
at the institute building at unlv all day all day and then we went to
the mexican consulate, ya know i still feel good about my spanish but a
little slice of humble pie never hurts... IT was good, it helped me
realize that i still have a ton to work on, it also made me realized how
specialized my vocabulary was so now im definitely going to focus on
more day to day conversation spanish!!! I'm definitely gonna make that
opportunity to talk to some natives and stuff to my advantage!!! We
got back to the airport and some lady took pictures of all of us and
texted em to our fams, that was tight!!! we got back here about 930,
yeah, it was a long day but we weren't done, we had to welcome a newish
elder to our zone and i may or may not have had a scheduled tie trade
waiting for me when i got back to my apt.... Today was just as busy as
all my other pdays, hosting (yeah i hosted sister gonzalez it was cool)
and temple time... ROck on baby!!! haha spiritual thought for the week i
wanna clear something up, i love everyone here and the mtc, i'm just
really excited and anxious to be able to change the stories i write home
from "tie trades" and mtc pranks to actually truly helping people. I
want to be able to write home about how i was able to bring someone the
message of the gospel and how the word of wisdom finally helped him get
over his addiction to drugs, or i want to be able to tell ya'll about
how the gospel turned this group of people into a real family that loves
and cares about eachother and is constantly working towards that goal
of eternal family!!! So yea, i am a little sick of being here, but the
scripture of the week (sorry for stealing this from ya fua) is helping
me a ton. Mosiah 2:17 "and behold, i tell you these things that ye may
learn wisdom that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your
fellow beings ye are only in the service of your god." yea, im working
on it by trying to serve my companions, my district, my zone, my
teachers, and everyone else i come in contact with, i'm also learning
patience because as much as i want to be helping others im leanring that
these people are the ones i need to be helping right now!!! Christ
litterally paid the price for our sins and has taken that load off of
our shoulders (if we let him) so i'm trying to do the same thing and
lightening others burdens, its hard but its definitely making a
difference in my experience here and ive found that when i actively try
to help others with their burdens god helps me with mine, and for that i
am grateful!!! Love ya'll, until next week
